Anyways.. IMO, the place doesn’t need to be perfect for a date.

Nag-date vs Dating

So there was this question raised by an office friend.

What is the difference between "Nag-date" and "Dating"?

Here are some of the answers:

• They mean the same thing.
• Nag-date is already done (past tense). Dating is ongoing. XD
• Nag-date is usahay. Dating is pirme.
• Nag-date is Filipinionized. Dating is Americanized. XD

IMO, "nag-date" is the 'action'.

Q: Nag-unsa mo?
A: Nag-date mi karon sa mall. 

"Dating" is the 'status'.

Q: Unsa na man mo ni *name*?
A: Dating na mi ni *name*.

Life in 2012

“The chapter's done, the story goes on..”

So, like the previous years, I am going to post my life summary on the year 2012.
It took me days to actually write this one.
I have to work on my mood before I start writing because I don't want it to sound a little bitter.

2012 has been such a great year! Really great!
But just like any other great things, they don't always last. (oh well!)

Anyways, here it goes.

CAREER
For the first few months, I've been really bored with work.
I lack the motivation. I am always idle. I want to leave.
But here comes a few new acquaintances. Then things began changing.
I am actually enjoying work now. I became busy and it's a really great feeling knowing you have become someone useful. I can say I've made progress in my career - especially that on 2013, I will become *tooooot*. Secret. XD
I'm also looking forward to something. *Wishful thinking*

FAMILY
Sadly, my time with family has lessen. I've been spending time at work and on weekends, spending it with friends.
Things aren't going well with my brother and his wife. In the end, they separated, leaving the two kids with my brother. My sister is also preggy - not that this is a problem. It's actually a blessing and we are really excited to see the new addition to the family by the year 2013. She works as an intern in the same office as I. On her first sem, she also worked as an intern at our youngest sister's school. And about my youngest sister, she is now in Grade7 - considered 1st year High School.
Well, maybe that is all for the family as of the year 2012.
And maybe it will be my resolution for 2013 to spend time with them more.

FRIENDS
I made new friends. (:
Lots of them, actually. And it's really great that we've become close with some of them, as if we had already known each other for a long time.
I've become closer with the old ones, and well, there are those that aren't in contact, anymore.
I was also able to meet - FINALLY - some friends I only knew online.
I also celebrated SAD with my distant friends. (and I guess I'll be celebrating SAD again this 2013. Oh well XD)

LOVE LIFE
Well, this has been the mostly asked question for me on the year 2012. XD
Firstly, I stopped going out with that boyfriend-I-never-had guy. But we continued to be friends. And this time, I was finally able to tell him how I really feel about him. Well, not that it matters much since he said he has known all along. XD  We've become closer and more open to one another .. or so I thought.
Then there's this guy, who was mainly the reason why I stopped going out with b-i-n-h guy. Well, he has been a close friend for a while now. A lot has happened. He is one of the reasons why I get to meet new people, get to eat food I have never tasted before, got to places I've never been, experienced new things, and many more.
Happiness. (:
But as some people say, not all things are meant to be.. oh well.. I guess everything was really just temporary. How sad. ):
A few people has professed their feelings. Not that I take them too seriously. They might just be kidding. I appreciate it though, but I don't think I would engage in another "churva2" too soon.
And for 2013, I am not sure I would like to start dating again... or so I thought. ;)

HEALTH
One of my goals in life is to gain weight.
And yes! I've actually gained weight to the extent that even my friends who used to call me "DAOT" (skinny) is now calling me "TAMBOK" (fat).
I really changed.. physically. But that does not mean it’s healthy. XD

FAITH
I’ve been holding still with my faith.. even after all the agnostic and atheist statements all around. But I can’t say I’m doing a great job of making it grow.
This will be another resolution, perhaps, for this year.

Now, let’s get to the “by-month” part.
I’ll try my hardest to recall every highlight – since my phone got broken and all the early memories for this year is on that phone. ><

JANUARY

• First time I actually celebrated Sinulog – went to Fuente to watch the whatever-you-call-that-parade.
• Rope course – Mountain View.
• First time at Larsians.
• Sunrise at Parola.
• Rebond.
• Ibyang’s wedding.
• Mr. A.

FEBRUARY

• Earthquake.
• Mochiko
• Cups.
• Tsunami-thing.
• Julias.
• SAD.
• Celebration over the phone. XD
• Walk-out thingy.
• Sacrificed half of the day for some churva ek ek – transaction was slow.
• Decided to end things.
• City lights – Mountain View.
• Wisdom tooth.
• I think this was also the first time I’ve been to Ekits. Not sure though.

MARCH

• Batch March 2012 Graduation.
• One of the most embarrassing moments of my life – at Hybrid.
• Camotes – with Jhon, Mokie and Jepai.

APRIL

• Back from Camotes. XD
• Ready. :(
• Another rope course – Rainforest Park.
• Something unexpected.
• Met new friends. :)

MAY

• I think this was the time I already got a new phone. XD
• North Perk. (yes, I actually went back to this place @__@)
• First time at NYC.
• Got Ready back.
• Mactan Shrine.
• Left because I slept at a friend’s house. XD

JUNE

• Got a really “bothering” dream about b-i-n-h and guy friend. @_@
• Handuraw Lahug with gf and friends. XD
• Camotes again – Crawler Team outing.
• Rendezvous.

JULY

• Discovered disco and tattoo bar.
• Met with college friends.
• Panagdait
• Shakeys
• Mountain View trip again.
• Buntod Dos.
• Been told something that actually made me happy.

AUGUST

• Felt something I shouldn’t. (after all, I have no right whatsoever)
• Discovered a little story about gf.
• Got told about another something that made me unhappy.
• Confessed to b-i-n-h guy.
• Went out with b-i-n-h guy again to talk about stuffs.
• Bulldog.

SEPTEMBER

• Second time around. XD
• Wednesday jogging sessions at Abellana.
• 7eleven.
• KTV with Titans.
• Badminton at Racket Zone.
• Big Screen Movie House with Titans.
• Oslob.
• Ante Amay’s church wedding.
• Butanding.

OCTOBER

• Got hopes high because of some “cheesy” remarks. (duh!) *rolls eyes*
• Rockfest.
• Kalyeana.
• Fake … .
• Odusee Out of the Closet Party.
• Coming Soon – Movie House.
• Biketoberfest.
• Wasn’t able to go to Badian. :((
• Sis got measles.
• Horror booth.

NOVEMBER

• Movie Marathon.
• Popeye’s.
• Weird dream – something about stomachache.
• Another “churvaness” that got my hopes up. *rolls eyes again*
• Lorega.
• Handuraw Canduman.
• Free dinner at Mooon.
• Parola.
• Found something out.
• Bye2 Nanay. :(

DECEMBER

• Bye… as of now.
• Ponds net-series.. or what was it called.
• Doll Master.
• Odusee Christmas party.
• Small world.
• End of the world churvaloo’s.
• Weird dreams.
• Got closer with officemates.
• Regrettable.. err.
• Free dinners! XD
• Haircut.

Well, okay. Maybe that’s just what I feel like posting. XD

I said I’d try my hardest to recall..
The thing is, after going through all of the recalling, it really is hard. :\

Hmn. Enough with the drama’s.

2012, as I’ve said earlier, has been really such a great year.
Many things happened, many things came, and there also things which left.

I just hope that on 2013, it will be a better and stronger Aya, through God’s guidance.

I know it’s kinda late, but HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone. ^^
